Niamh and the Hermit by Emily C. A. Snyder. For your Tolkien fans. Lovely, lyrical high fantasy about a princess whose beauty carries a terrible price and the valiant hermit whose love for her sends him on a perilous quest. And for your Narnia lovers: Charming the Moon by the same author.

I really need to take a look at this book. Several years ago, when I first started homeschooling (actually, it was before I started homeschooling … I was asking lots of questions ….) I was on an e-list and Emily Snyder’s mother was one of the voices of wisdom there that I came to trust. She was funny, charming, and so down-to-earth. I liked her immensely. I can’t wait to find Emily’s book.
